3D Prints & Scans

During the 3D scanning process, the subtle movement of breath introduced natural distortions to the captured forms, creating unexpected shifts and fluidities within the digital model. When these altered scans were 3D printed, the resulting surfaces revealed patterns that echoed typographic lines found on maps, as well as organic patterns observed in nature, such as sediment layers or growth rings. This interplay between breath-induced distortion and printed texture underscores the hybrid nature of the work—where human presence, digital manipulation, and natural systems converge to form new visual languages.
